About Tent Pole Comics
Independent graphic novels with heart, humor, and adventure.
Our Story
Tent Pole Comics was founded by Jack D. Robert, a lifelong comic book enthusiast who had amassed a collection of over 1,000 comics by the age of nine. That early passion never faded — it grew into a mission to create original stories that capture the spirit of classic comics while forging bold new worlds.
Jack received his MFA in Screenwriting from UCLA School of Film & Television, where he won more Goldwyn Writing Awards than any student in the school's history. He brings that storytelling craft to every title Tent Pole Comics publishes.
From the action-packed pages of Action Calls and FBI Man to the cosmic adventures of Star Zata and the eerie thrills of The Spectrophobia Chronicles, Tent Pole Comics delivers stories that entertain, surprise, and endure.
What We Stand For
Original Stories
Every title we publish is an original creation — no reboots, no retreads. Just fresh characters and worlds built from the ground up.
Craft First
We believe great comics start with great writing. Every script is developed with the same rigor as a feature film.
Fan-Driven
We're readers ourselves. We publish the kinds of stories we want to read — and we think you will too.
